Speaker: Anamaria Elek

A PhD student in Systems Biology at CRG, Barcelona, Spain. Graduated from University of Zagreb, Croatia, developing for her Master's thesis project an R Bioconductor package for the analysis of codon usage. In her current work she is trying to answer some of the many open questions in the evolution of gene regulatory mechanisms, specifically those driving diversification of animal cell types, primarily by integrating single cell transcriptomics and chromatin accessibility data.
