Professor Wojciech Fendler (born 1982) is one of the outstanding young researchers in Poland. He is a specialist in statistical analysis of data and research in the field of diabetology and oncology. He is the author of a few hundreds of scientific papers and the leader of several research projects financed from national and EU funds. From the beginning of his research career, he has been striving to disseminate knowledge in the field of data analysis and supports young scientists in mastering the skills crucial for independent scientific work. Professor Fendler is a laureate of several prestigious research awards, such as the Polpharma Scientific Foundation Scholarship, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Scholarship and the FNP START Scholarship. He is the Head of the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine and the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs at the Clinical Research Center of the Medical University of Łódź. He is also a visiting professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.
