Speaker: Sergey Nurk

Sergey Nurk - postdoctoral fellow at the Genome Informatics Section at NIH. He has got an undergraduate degree in computer science from St. Petersburg State University in 2011 and joined a newly established bioinformatics laboratory in St. Petersburg Academic University. In 2019 he defended his PhD thesis (supervised by prof. Pavel Pevzner) in St. Petersburg State University. His research interest concentrate on genomic assembly from NGS data and development of bioinformatic methods and software.
