Máire is an assistant professor in Biological Data Analysis at Trinity College Dublin. Previously she was a post-doctoral researcher at Trinity College at the University of Oxford in the Cancer Genomics group led by Dr David Wedge at the Oxford Big Data Institute. She obtained her PhD degree in 2018 under the supervision of Elizabeth Murchison at the Cambridge University. During her PhD she focused on understanding the origin and evolution of transmissible cancer. Currently, her main research interests lie in investigating the development of rare cancers.
