About project

Currently for Our Client - International Pharmaceutical Company we are looking for a talented Bioinformatics Software Engineer who would like to help with data analysis and supporting our scientists. Bioinformatics Software Engineer will help us transform the way how new therapeutic hypotheses are formed and validated. We work with expert teams and scientists from the laboratories located in California, USA. 

Remuneration based on a B2B model: 12 000 – 14 400 PLN + VAT (75 PLN - 90 PLN + VAT)

Location: remotely

Required Skills:

  • Unix/Linux proficiency and R programming including experience with Bioconductor libraries

  • Documented experience with sequencing/genomic data analysis (NGS) and familiarity with bioinformatics tools used for RNA-Seq. WGS, scRNA-Seq data processing

  • Good understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology and interest to learn more

  • Experience with SQL and no-SQL databases

  • Excellent communication, advanced English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills

  • Responsible and reliable, goal and task oriented

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in Neuroscience or Immunology (or Microbiology, Genetics)

  • Experience with version control and familiarity with issue tracking systems (i.e .JIRA)

  • Experinence with python programming

  • Experience with interactive data visualisation packages (shiny, plotly, etc.) and JavaScript

List of duties

  • Running existing pipelines to process and analyse sequencing data

  • Reporting, documenting and visualising data analysis results using open source and internally developed tools

  • Occasional development of custom R/Shiny applications
